Established in 2002, InterWest Search serves the broad recruitment needs of healthcare institutions across the U.S. The firm specializes in executive, mid-management and technical searches and other specialized positions in healthcare organizations. The company search consultants have over 30 years of combined management experience in human resources for corporations, including 20 years in healthcare.

Jeanne Barnes joined InterWest Search in June of 2007. She has a varied background in recruiting, which includes: healthcare, engineering, executive management, high-tech industry, accounting and the energy industry. Barnes has held a PHR (professional human resource) certification.

Barnes worked for 4 years as a corporate recruiter for a regional acute care 454-bed hospital in Oregon recruiting for all areas within the hospital including; nursing, allied health , home health, long-term acute care, pharmacy, some physician positions as well as management and general staffing positions. She worked for a staffing company for 13 years and developed a high-tech and professional division in her local area. Her experience in this arena afforded her the opportunity to recruit on many different and diverse technical professional positions.


Paul Williams serves as the Principal of the search firm. Williams performs the complete search process, including meeting with the client company, determining the required candidate competencies, identifying and sourcing candidates, interviewing and screening, presenting final candidates, reference checking and assisting with the offer of employment. Interwest Search's approach and style is founded on the principles of honesty, open communication, fairness and integrity. Such values along with a friendly interpersonal communication style have led to successful recruitment results for client organizations.

Williams has 20 years of experience in human resources management, including 10 years in healthcare administration. He has successfully recruited healthcare management professionals at all levels in the organization. Serving on senior management teams with 3 different organizations as Vice President of Human Resources, Williams has been involved in the strategic direction of each organization. Williams served with CHW- Mercy Medical Center in Merced, CA for 9 years as a VP/HR, then Assistant Administrator. Williams has taught supervisory management, human resources and related courses through local college and training institutions.

In 2004, InterWest Search joined Top Echelon, the World’s most successful placement network, which provides services to over 10,000 recruiters across the United States. Membership with Top Echelon provides InterWest Search clients with access to candidates from the other network recruiters, as well as providing access to over 5,000 employment Web sites under agreement with Top Echelon to advertise its openings.

InterWest Search has joined two national recruiting networks to expand its reach to candidates. The firm joined CRA (Christian Recruiters Affiliated) in 2003, a network of approximately 100 recruiters working exclusively in healthcare. Williams was awarded the CRA “Recruiter of the Year” for 2004 recognizing the highest number of placements for the year by an affiliate within the network.

Williams has a Bachelors degree in Business, with an emphasis in Human Resources and a Masters degree in Organizational Management. He is certified with a SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) through the Society of Human Resources Management.

Williams is married with 3 children and is active in coaching youth sports, serving in church leadership, and is a past president of Storyland (children’s theme park), HHRMAC (human resources association) and the Leadership Fresno Alumni.
